This level of personal attention sets the tone for a meal that's both comfortable and memorable.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu is packed with a delightful range of options, but the star of the show is undoubtedly the pizza. The dough is perfectly crisp, the toppings fresh, and the flavors are simply unbeatable. If you’re into traditional Italian pizzas, you’ll love the Margherita, which is crafted with the freshest mozzarella and a tangy tomato base. For those who like to try something a bit different, the “Stuzzicheria Speciale” pizza offers a delicious blend of unique toppings that you won’t find anywhere else in the area.

But it’s not just the pizzas that stand out. The trattoria also offers a variety of pasta dishes, all of which are made with the same level of care and attention to detail. The pasta is cooked to perfection, with rich sauces that complement the texture of the noodles beautifully. A popular choice among regulars is the “Tagliatelle alla Bolognese,” a dish that combines tender homemade pasta with a hearty and flavorful meat sauce. It’s a dish that transports you straight to the heart of Italy with each bite.

For those who are in the mood for something a little lighter, the antipasti selection at La Casa Di Jo is also worth checking out. This dedication to quality shines through in every dish, making it clear that they take pride in what they serve.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert, and La Casa Di Jo delivers in this department as well. The homemade tiramisu is a crowd favorite, with layers of rich, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, smooth mascarpone cream, and a dusting of cocoa powder that melts in your mouth. It’s the perfect way to end a satisfying meal.

The drink menu at La Casa Di Jo complements the food perfectly, with a fine selection of Italian wines and refreshing beverages to pair with your meal. Whether you’re enjoying a glass of red wine with your pizza or opting for a refreshing sparkling water, there’s something for every palate.

  • Best pasta I had in Bolzano. Fresh, hot and full of flavor. The setting was nice in the terrace, you can hear the Tavolo river while dining. Two thumps up!

  • This place served the best Italian food I have had in Italy. You have to get the risotto with sausage, the sausage and broccoli rabe pizza, the rosso pesto crustinis. I would highly recommend this place!!

  • I had dinner here a few nights ago. Delicious sausage and mushroom pizza and a pistachio ricotta cannolo at a very good price in the heart of Bolzano. The owners were very nice to me as an American tourist who speaks no Italian. I highly recommend this place!

  • Came ɓecause of the good reviews and they did not disappoint. Great food, lovely terrace where it feels like you are part of nature, the staff was attentive. I saw the owner and you can tell that he really cares about the place. The food isn't just great, there is an authentic feel to the experience. Would definitely reccomend. Reasonable price. The terrace is up the stairs (I was confused at first).

  • Tried this restaurant because it was across the street from my hotel ADV home. The wait staff welcomed us in like family as we were selecting our table. Had a pizza and lasagna with a couple beers and cannolis for dessert. At this point we had been in Europe for 3 months and this was the BEST italian food throughout Europe. As we were getting ready to leave we was introduced to the owners mother who was still working in the restaurant. It was a very good experience as she was very special. The bill was about half what we spent in oldtown. So impressed with the food and experience, we came back the next day for dinner. This time having a pizza and pasta alla norma along with a cannoli and tiramisu along with beers. All was awesome. Highly recommend this place for it's family owned, welcoming atmosphere and the fact it's NOT in old town where you must deal with the 1000's of tourist and high prices.
